Statement of Faith
The Triune God
We believe in the one and only God, the Creator of all things. The Lord of all the world is living even now and reigns in truth and goodness. He is revealed as the Triune God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—and we believe that His wisdom, power, holiness, justice, goodness, and truth are infinite, eternal, and unchanging.
Sola Scriptura
We believe that the Bible alone is the Word of God and the truth. We believe that God’s covenant revealed in Scripture is fulfilled through Jesus Christ. The Bible has the light and power to lead sinners to repentance and salvation. The Holy Spirit makes known to us that the Scriptures are the Word of God.
The Cross and the Resurrection
We believe that through the death of Jesus Christ on the cross, we are saved from sin and reconciled to God. We also believe that He broke the power of darkness and death and rose from the dead on the third day. The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ are historical events in which the righteousness of God was revealed, and by conquering the power of death, He became the Lord of all, both the living and the dead. On the last day, we believe that we will take part in the first resurrection.
Baptism and the Lord’s Supper
We believe that baptism and the Lord’s Supper are holy ordinances established by Christ in the church for those who are within the covenant of grace. Through these sacraments, our faith is strengthened, the love and fellowship of the church are cherished, and believers are distinguished from those outside the covenant of grace.
The Church
We believe that the church is a community of believers who have been called by God and saved through faith in Jesus Christ. The head of the church is Jesus Christ, and we are a loving community, closely and organically connected as His body. Through the church, we are born as God’s children and nurtured in faith, making the church a life-long foundation we cannot leave until we reach heaven.
Return of Jesus
We believe that Jesus Christ…
