Why Jesus Christ
To modern people, the name Jesus is not that unfamiliar.
In most cases, people either have no idea who Jesus is or have only vaguely heard of it. Sometimes you may feel rejected, perhaps when someone tells you about Jesus or when a well-believing friend recommends you go to church.
It may be natural to have such feelings because most people's eyes on Christianity are focused on church buildings and Christians.
However, if you now fix your eyes on this text and look deeply, you will not see the religion called Christianity, but the path to life through Jesus.

01
Are you blessed?
In all of our history, we have never lived in an age of information overload like now. But have you ever heard truly happy news among the countless mass media? When I wake up in the morning and listen to the news, my pleasant morning becomes rather depressing. The reality is that if you relax after dinner and listen to the news, you will actually feel stressed. Wars, murders, violence, incidents, and accidents are competing and dominating the news. I personally feel that this world is becoming increasingly dark and confusing. I can't feel any happiness or hope in this world. My relationships with my family, friends, and neighbors become distorted and increasingly difficult. No matter how hard you try to solve this problem yourself, you cannot. Why is that so? It's because of sin. Everything is messed up because of sin. Because of sin, hatred came, because of sin, relationships were ruined, and because of sin, we ultimately died forever. You can never be happy unless the problem of sin is resolved. Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned (Romans 5:12) But there is only one way to solve this problem of sin. It is meeting the One who fundamentally solved the problem of sin.

Fulfillment of prophecy
2000 years ago, in a small country called Israel, a person named Jesus was born and worked in a small rural town called Nazareth, where no one recognized him. One can't help but wonder how he managed to make such a huge impact around the world. How much of an impact has Jesus Christ had on humanity historically? Could B.C. “Before Christ” and A.D. “Anno Domini” be a turning point in history based on the birth of Jesus? Even though Jesus' birth and death on the cross appear to be poor and miserable, we cannot help but think about how he became the center of history. There is a big secret in this. In the Bible, the Old Testament was written over a period of 1,500 years, and there were more than 300 prophecies about the coming of the savior (Jesus). In particular, Isaiah, who was active about 700 years before the birth of Jesus, made many prophecies about the Savior, describing them in detail, and especially prophesying about his birth and death. For a child is born to us, a son is given to us, For on his shoulders will rest the power, and his name will be called Wonderful One, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. -Isaiah 9:6-

Broken relationship
Why did the ancient prophets long for, expect, and prophesy the Messiah who would come from heaven? This is because humans have a natural desire to seek and long for God the Creator. Religion was created due to this nature. On the sixth day after God created all things, he created man from dust and breathed the breath of God into his nostrils, and he became man through rain. God created the first humans, Adam and Eve, in His image, blessed them, and spoke to them. “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and over the birds in the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Genesis 1:28 The first humans to receive God's breath received God's blessings and lived in deep fellowship with God. That is why human nature, which resembles the image of God, remembers the relationship with God. However, the first human disobeyed God's word and ate the forbidden fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. After that, humans lost their relationship with God. Here we discover another nature of human beings. It is a heart that disobeys and rejects God the Creator. Even though more than 95% of the world's population has a religion, because they disobey and reject God, the image of God in humans is broken and distorted, and this world is full of war, death, hunger, poverty, futility, and pain. Rejecting and disobeying God is what we call sin. It is because of sin that we cannot meet God. Above all, sin imprisons us in eternal hell. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

God who restores
What must a sinful person do to approach God? You must pay the price for your sins. Paying the price for sin is either satisfying the righteousness recognized by God or being judged and dying. So, to pay for their sins, humans either accumulate good deeds or do penance until death. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23 The problem is that no matter how many good deeds you do and how much you practice penance until death, you cannot reach God's righteousness. This is because the righteousness recognized by God is perfect righteousness. There is no longer any hope for sinners. There is none righteous, not even one. Romans 3:10 Man, whose image of God has been broken by sin, cannot restore the image of God on his own. Now we can become righteous only through God's way. Only God, who created humans, can restore humans. Above all, the God of love has not given up on humans. God does not want humans to be destroyed anymore. God had to come because humans with their sinful nature cannot come to God on their own. So, the one who came to this earth is Jesus Christ, the Son of God. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

Children of God
Jesus came to this earth and proclaimed the kingdom of God. The kingdom of God that he proclaimed is a kingdom of salvation and restoration ruled by God. To free humans who are slaves to sin and death We had to atone for human sin. So Jesus Christ chose the way of the cross.
